What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concessions Intern position at THE KRAFT GROUP?
SUMMARY
The Concessions Intern supports the Concessions Department by assisting with a wide range of operational functions to help ensure Gillette Stadium remains a premier destination for sports and entertainment. This internship provides hands-on exposure to large-scale foodservice operations within a professional sports and entertainment venue.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rotate through various functions within the Concessions Department, including front of house management, warehousing, purchasing, and staffing, to gain insight into how large-scale foodservice operations function in a professional sports environment serving up to 65,000 guests per event
- Attend departmental meetings and assist with administrative and operational follow-up as needed.
- Assist with day-to-day concessions operations between events to ensure preparedness, as well as execution of large-scale ticketed events.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibility
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equal technical degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan ahead, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong customer service focus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend and be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- Must have a flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations effectively and professionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The noise level in the work environment is often loud
- Will work in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold
- This is a fast-paced environment with many moving parts
