Sorting Cooler Associate (Full Time)
The Kitchen Inc. is looking to hire a full time sorting cooler associate to our team in Sterling Heights, MI. We are a family owned and operated business looking to fill some vacancies AND add to our team for future growth in 2025.
Promotion available for the right candidate. The right candidate would work in the cooler for 3-6 months and be promoted to Sorting Cooler Manager.

OVERVIEW
Sorting takes place in our finished goods cooler. Each individual is responsible for keeping their area clean, organized, and to work well with others as a team member. Sorting Cooler Employee(s) are responsible for sorting products in the appropriate bin. All items are inspected by FDA, MDARD, or USDA. Daily tasks include: sorting items into corresponding bins, labeling bins, sweeping, moving pallets, organizing bins on pallet shelving, all while working in a 36 F Cooler. Working in the sorting cooler position requires no direct communication with customers or the general public.

THE SCHEDULE (FULL TIME)
- Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM ( /-1 hour depending on production volume)
- Rotating Weekend Shifts - Every other Sunday. Currently Sunday shift is from 7AM - 12 PM
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Able to work on their feet the entire shift.
- Able to work in a refrigerated environment, 35 - 40 F.
- Must be able to lift 50# (not continuously).
- Has reliable transportation to and from work.
- Dependable, shows up on time for each shift.
- A self-starter, able to stay organized, work as a part of a team, take direction well, and work on their own when necessary.
- Able to keep sorting area, cooler space, and warehouse organized and clean at all times.
- Sorting or picking experience is a plus!
- Must be okay with working in an environment where day-to-day operations are routine, and follow all government regulations and/or company set rules.
- Bonus points if you enjoy Pop Culture and Movies or can tell a really good joke.
COMPANY OFFERINGS
- After 90 days of employment all new hires are eligible for medical (including prescription coverage), vision, and dental insurance. The company pays 50% and the employee pays the other 50%.
