Job Description: Food Runner / Server Assistant (version 2015 mm)
Reporting Relationships
Position Reports to: All Managers
Subordinate Staff: None
Position Training & Shift Assignments: The Food Runner / SA is fully trained for two position assignments, Food Running and SA. In general, one is scheduled for one or the other, but there is often cross-over in our team approach because the SA can run food and the Runner can help with the dining room organization.

Essential Shift Functions:
RUNNER
Alerts Manager when food is running ‘long time’ (past the parameters for the site)
Relays any Guest Complaints or Needs to Manager / Server
Ensures Garnish Specs & Accompanying Items are Correct
Serves Professionally: Pivot Point Service, Announces Dishes, Ladies First
Serving Food from Left, w/ Left; Serving Beverage from Right, w/ Right
Never Touching Tops of Plates or Upper Third of Glasses
Utilizes Pepper Mills, & Cheese Graters
SA
Capable and Eager to Offer Suggestions on Food and Beverage, as needed
Refilling Coffee, Water, Soda, Tea
Replaces Flatware
Provides Bread (site specific)
Boxes leftovers
Pre-busses: Clears Extra Dishes and Debris, Refolds Napkins
Busses Tables and Resets Promptly and Professionally
Maintains Clean Floors, and Well-Stocked Service Stations
Qualifications
Knowledge

2. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
3. The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.

5. Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
6. Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
Level Works under direct supervision of floor managers.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.33 - $12.00 per hour
