What are the responsibilities and job description for the COACH position at The King's Academy?
The King's Academy, a Christian, private, pre-k through 12th Grade college preparatory school seeks coaches for its athletic programs who have a passion for and experience in playing and/or coaching sports. The mission of TKA athletics is to provide students an excellent athletic experience with eternal impact. This is accomplished by successfully supervising and instructing student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the student-athlete shall receive mentorship that will lead to the formulation of Christ-like character that will take the form of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
Qualifications
- Give testimony to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Clearly communicate a Christian philosophy of athletics
- Has the ability to organize, communicate, and supervise a total sport program.
- Has the ability to lead, mentor and develop staff.
- Previous successful coaching and/or playing experience in requested sport
- Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and at the same time must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment and high standards of conduct among student-athletes.
- Cooperates in facilitating a ‘complete’ experience building from the middle school level up to the varsity level
