The Kid SpOt Center is a rapidly growing pediatric clinic specializing in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Positive Behavior Supports. We serve patients from birth to age 21. Our goal is to service all children in hopes of increasing their ability to be an independent and functioning member of society.
The Kid SpOt Center, is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Patient Service Coordinator to be the warm and friendly face to greet our pediatric patients. The perfect candidate should be well organized, detailed oriented and must love kids, especially with a variety of special needs. This person should also love meeting and helping new people.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers phone calls
- Greets patients and families
- Cancels appointments as requested by parent/guardians and enters cancellation reasons on appropriate appointments. Enters patient note to reflect cancellation date and make-up date
- Collects co-pays, coinsurances, deductibles, out of network expenses etc. at the time services are rendered
- Maintains a payment log and envelope system
- Manages the flex schedule, calls each week for the following week
- Picks up waiting room and hallway at minimum one time per day on a scheduled agreed upon with Patient Advocate (PA)
- Covers duties of PA when that person is out of the building or as requested by manager
- Communicates with the PA daily to ensure that any duties that have arisen unexpectedly or on short notice are completed in a timely manner
- Manages the day to day schedule including making reminder calls for make-up appts., moved appts., flex appts.
- Faxes and communicates plan of cares, reassessments and evaluations to referring doctors
- Once authorizations have been received, schedule treatment sessions
- Monitors Authorization Communication Log to ensure patients are scheduling/scheduled per their authorization.
- Monitor status updates daily to ensure no patient is in a ‘scheduled’ status for the previous day of service.
- Maintains PSC activity logs and send to supervisor weekly
- Assists PA in decorating lobby and bulletin board
- Completes other duties as requested by supervisor
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Prior experience with insurance is highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Upon hire applicant must be able to pass drug screening, TB screening, background checks and obtain CPR/First Aid certification at the applicant's expense.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
