The Kent Companies is seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of construction for our new build locations across the multiple states. Based in Midland, TX, this full-time position plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end construction process—ensuring our projects are completed on time, on budget, and up to the high standards our brand is known for. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and methodologies. Regular travel to job sites is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full construction lifecycle for new builds from planning to final walk-through
· Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
Obtain and manage bids, estimates, and construction contracts
Coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance with local regulations
Procure materials and manage vendor relationships to keep projects on schedule
Utilize construction management software to track progress, manage resources, and report on project status.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Track budgets and expenses, approve invoices, and maintain financial oversight
Serve as liaison between the construction team and store operations, providing regular updates and progress reports
Resolve issues proactively to minimize delays and cost overruns
Travel to various construction sites across the region as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from ground-up
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, permitting, and vendor management
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Prepare and review construction estimates to ensure accurate budgeting
Proficiency in using construction management software for effective project oversight.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Budgeting and project management expertise required
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Midland, TX
Must be able to pass a preemployment background check, drug screen and MVR
Must be able to travel regularly throughout West Texas and surrounding areas
