Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient service
- Upsell menu items and specials to increase sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring complete satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations
- Utilize reservation systems like OpenTable to manage seating arrangements and optimize guest flow during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong culinary knowledge and food industry experience, including food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates welcoming atmospheres in both fine dining and nightclub settings
- Effective time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Previous experience in food service roles such as host/hostess or server in restaurant or hospitality environments
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate order processing
