We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Trim Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Research, develop, source, and negotiate all trim components including hangtags, labels, patches, packaging, jokers, and branded trim items.
• Partner closely with Design, Product Development, Production, Sourcing, and Technical Design teams on trim development and execution.
• Manage seasonal trim development calendars, WIP reports, and critical path timelines across multiple divisions.
• Source and develop trims from domestic and international vendors while driving cost savings and maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor trim inventory levels and production requirements to ensure timely delivery and support seasonal business needs.
• Establish and maintain seasonal trim libraries, records, approvals, and sourcing documentation.
• Communicate trim specifications, packaging requirements, labeling details, and testing standards to factories and suppliers.
• Manage bulk trim approvals, quality control processes, testing requirements, and production readiness.
• Partner with vendors and factories to resolve quality, production, compliance, and delivery issues.
• Lead trim testing initiatives and ensure all trims meet company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to CPSIA, Prop 65, retailer-specific requirements, labeling regulations, and product safety standards.
• Review and maintain testing reports, certifications, compliance documentation, and vendor records.
• Identify potential quality, safety, and compliance risks and implement corrective action plans to mitigate exposure.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement related to quality, testing, compliance, service levels, and cost management.
• Support audits, retailer compliance initiatives, sustainability programs, and corporate quality standards as required.
• Negotiate pricing and identify counter-sourcing opportunities to improve margins while maintaining product integrity.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7 years of trim sourcing, development, production, compliance, or related apparel experience.
• Strong understanding of trim construction, materials, packaging, labeling, and product development processes.
• Experience managing trim testing, product safety requirements, quality assurance programs, and compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of CPSIA, Prop 65, retailer compliance requirements, care/content labeling, and related regulations.
• Proven ability to partner with domestic and overseas vendors and factories.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
