Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, personable, and highly organized Assistant Innkeeper who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a welcoming, well-run environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with guests of all ages in a warm, professional manner
- Provide recommendations for local restaurants, shops, entertainment, and outdoor experiences
- Prepare and serve breakfast/brunch for 15–20 guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the property
- Work independently and take initiative in daily operations
- Help ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience
Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel operations preferred; previous front desk or guest services experience is a plus
- Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of downtown Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas
- Experience preparing breakfast or brunch for groups - required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated; able to work independently
- Calm under pressure and adaptable
- Comfortable with cleaning and maintaining high standards
- Not a user of any type of tobacco products and/or recreational drugs
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
