What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD/PhD) position at The Kahane Center, LLC?
The Kahane Center has been serving children, adolescents, and families for over 25 years. It is a place to go to grow — for the families we serve, for the clinicians on our team, and for me personally. As we continue to grow, we have an exciting opening for the right person to join us.
If you're a licensed psychologist with a passion for working with children and adolescents, I'd love to tell you about the new and exciting opportunities at The Kahane Center.
What the role looks like:
- Individual and family therapy across the developmental spectrum
- Supervision of postdoctoral fellows and team case presentations
- Opportunities to lead groups and expand your clinical impact
- Training in our POWERS model — a curriculum focused on social cognition, emotional intelligence, and executive functioning
What we offer:
- $200–$240 an hour
- P/T or F/T | 1099 | Hybrid
- Strong referral base and high-level administrative support
- A genuinely warm, collaborative team that takes clinical thinking seriously
What we're looking for:
- PsyD or PhD with an active NY or NJ psychology license
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Grounded in evidence-based practice
- Curious, warm, and invested in the families you work with
As a former clinical supervisor at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, training the next generation of psychologists is something I care deeply about. I started The Kahane Center because I believe deeply in this work — and in the people who do it. If this feels like the kind of place you've been looking for, I'd love to hear from you.
And if this isn't the right fit for you but you know someone who would thrive here, a share would mean the world.
Send a CV and a brief note to office@thekahanecenter.com.
