As the network continues to expand, Movement Schools seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy, systems, and infrastructure that will support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term financial health.
The CFO will serve as both a strategic leader and operational expert, overseeing financial planning, compliance, reporting, cash management, and multi-entity fund management across a complex, multi-state organization. This leader will build scalable financial systems, strengthen controls, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting continued expansion.
Key Priorities:
- Drive Sustainable Growth: Lead financial planning for expansion, including new school launches, facility financing, and strategic investments.
- Strengthen Financial Planning & Forecasting: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for an approximately $50M multi-entity budget, providing strategic insights to the CEO and Board.
- Ensure Compliance & Reporting: Maintain strong financial controls, audit readiness, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Implement Procurement Systems: Finalize and operationalize procurement processes that support efficient, compliant purchasing across the network.
- Build a High-Performing Finance Team: Develop an in-house finance function spanning accounting, compliance, FP&A, and reporting to support a growing organization.
