What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant and Dog Trainers position at The K Street Group LLC?
The K Street Group is anticipating its new 15,000 K9 Training Academy to commence operations sometime in early January 2022 in Hunterdon County, NJ. This facility will also be offering boarding and doggie day care. We are looking to hire 3 - 5 kennel attendants and 2 - 4 qualified canine trainers to initially staff the new facility. For the position of "Kennel Attendant" we require the individual to have at least one year of directly related experience in caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds. More specifically, knowledge of the proper way to clean/sanitize a kennel, feeding, social walks, playtime/agility exercise etc. You must also be extremely comfortable around dogs, and also have dogs of your own. For the position of "Canine Trainer", you must have at least 3 - 5 years of canine basic obedience training experience for dogs of all sizes and breeds in both a group and private lesson environment. You must have the ability to accurately access a dog's posture and disposition while at the same time be able to gain the dogs trust and confidence.
Other requirements are; must have a high school diploma/GED, drivers license, reside in close proximity, excellent computer skills, motivated personality, and above all, the ability to adapt and respond to any kennel related incident.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
