Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating arrangements and timely service flow
- Handle all cashier duties accurately, including processing payments via POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and dining area, supporting food safety and sanitation standards
- Answer phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries with proper phone etiquette
- Assist with guest services by addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to optimize table management and guest flow during busy hours
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required; food service experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Strong guest relations skills with a friendly attitude and positive demeanor
