Industry leading food manufacturer is seeking a 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor, you are the critical link between the end of production and the start of the next day’s run. You lead the frontline sanitation crew during the facility’s deep-clean window, ensuring all equipment, overheads, and floors are chemically cleaned and sanitized to SSOP standards. You are responsible for the "Clean-to-Start" hand-off, ensuring the plant is microbiologically safe and 100% compliant with food safety regulations before the first batch of the day begins. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a mastery of chemical safety, mechanical breakdown, and time management. 11p-8a Sunday night - Friday morning schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Deep-Clean Execution: Lead the nightly breakdown, cleaning, and reassembly of complex food production machinery (mixers, conveyors, ovens, and cooling racks).
- Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct nightly "Pre-Op" inspections and ATP swabbing to verify that all surfaces are free of pathogens and allergens before releasing lines to Production.
- Chemical Management: Oversee the safe application of foaming agents, sanitizers, and degreasers; ensure the crew is trained in proper titration levels and PPE usage.
- Crew Leadership: Manage a specialized team of sanitation technicians, including scheduling, safety training (LOTO), and real-time performance coaching.
- Regulatory Compliance: Document all nightly cleaning activities to maintain a "paper trail" for FDA, USDA, or SQF audits.
- Problem Solving: Identify and report equipment wear-and-tear or mechanical issues found during the cleaning process to the Maintenance department.
- Experience: 2–4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Technical Knowledge: Expert understanding of Wet vs. Dry cleaning methods and the "7 Steps of Sanitation."
- Safety Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and chemical SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
- Efficiency: Proven ability to manage tight cleaning windows (e.g., a 4-to-6-hour "window") without delaying the morning production start time.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in wet, humid, or high-heat environments and stay active on the plant floor for the duration of the night shift.
- Certifications: HACCP or Food Safety Manager certification is highly preferred.
