Job Title: Safety Professional - Safety Operations

Location: Waterloo, IA

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze safety-related data, documentation, and correspondence to ensure compliance with safety regulations and health & safety management system requirements.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in incident investigations and ergonomic reviews, assisting in identifying root causes and developing effective corrective actions.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to relevant teams and stakeholders.
• Perform ergonomic assessments of products, manufacturing processes, packaging, equipment, tooling, and work methods.
• Evaluate new or relocated equipment to identify potential safety and ergonomic risks.
• Deliver ergonomic training and awareness programs for supervisors, operators, and employees.
• Document, track, and support implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and ergonomics.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Safety, Ergonomics, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.
• Engineering or other technical education will also be considered.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information

• Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
• Position requires onsite work from day one.
• Metatarsal safety shoes and prescription safety glasses (if applicable) are required on the first day.
• Business casual dress code.
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Assignment duration may be extended based on business needs and production volumes.
