Quality Manager
Overview
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead quality operations, drive continuous improvement, and reduce defects across production processes. This role requires a strong background in root cause analysis, quality systems, customer relations, and team development.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions to reduce defects, scrap, and customer quality issues.
- Develop and mentor the quality team while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage quality systems, audits, process controls, SPC, FMEAs, and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives through data analysis, trend monitoring, and performance metrics.
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, suppliers, audits, and corrective action activities.
- Support product certification, traceability, inspections, testing, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Oversee laboratory, calibration, and measurement systems to ensure product and process quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.
- 5 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, root cause analysis, SPC, CAPA, audits, and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
- Metal casting, machining, foundry, aerospace, automotive, or defense manufacturing experience preferred.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
