About The Role
We are seeking a QC Supervisor (MDP) to support a large-scale semiconductor construction project in Taylor, TX. This is a fully on-site role within a long-term, multi-phase project environment. The position involves close collaboration with construction teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional stakeholders in a multicultural setting.
Project Overview
- $17B semiconductor construction project
- Multi-phase program (5 phases, ~2 years each)
- Currently in Phase 2
- Long-term engagement (10 years)
- Highly collaborative, global team environment
- Oversee MDP (Mechanical, Duct, Piping) inspection activities across the construction project
- Review inspection documentation and validate on-site inspection requests
- Identify and communicate non-compliance with codes, specifications, and regulations
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and properly followed through
- Provide final inspection confirmation prior to client review (inspection quality management)
- Manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and punch list items
- Ensure timely resolution of inspection-related issues
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain quality standards
- Conduct routine quality checks on fabrication shops and supplied materials
- Monitor material storage conditions and subcontractor quality practices
- Verify incoming materials meet required quality standards
- Oversee jurisdictional inspections (e.g., City inspections as required)
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- 5–10 years of experience in MDP construction and/or quality control
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong multitasking and deadline management abilities
- Experience working with multiple subcontractors
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with risk awareness
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Adaptability in fast-paced, multicultural environments
- Positive attitude with openness to feedback and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- QA/QC experience
- Experience on large-scale construction projects ($50M )
- Background in semiconductor or oil & gas projects
- Familiarity with Trimble software
- International or multicultural work experience
- Ability to commute to the project site daily
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Availability to work weekends when required
