This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities
- Department Leadership: Oversee polymer operations, enforce process discipline, and ensure uptime and performance.
- Technical Expertise: Manage resin trials, new product launches, and process validations.
- Vendor & Equipment Management: Liaise with machine builders, mold makers, and automation partners; approve tooling upgrades and ensure technical compliance.
- Maintenance & Reliability: Partner with Maintenance to improve machine reliability and eliminate chronic failures.
- Standards & Training: Develop SOPs, recipes, and troubleshooting guides; lead technical training and skill development.
- Data & Digitalization: Use MES and ERP (SAP) for performance tracking and data-driven decision-making.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA, GMP, and customer requirements; lead audits and incident investigations.
- Team Development: Coach supervisors, monitor performance, and build a high-performing technical team.
- 7 years in polymer, thermoforming, or injection molding leadership.
- Strong hands-on experience with molds, tooling, and automation.
- Bachelor’s in Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in MES and ERP (SAP preferred).
- Proven success in scrap reduction and process optimization.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
