About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Plant Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our Duncan, SC facility. In this role, you will manage a team of HR professionals and oversee all aspects of employee engagement, talent acquisition, retention, compliance, compensation, benefits, and workforce development. You will serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership, driving initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture and support long-term staffing goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR department’s daily operations.
- Develop and implement HR policies aligned with EEOC, affirmative action, and diversity objectives.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, communication plans, and action steps.
- Oversee hiring, retention strategies, and termination processes to ensure fairness and compliance.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure confidentiality standards.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations; train managers as needed.
- Manage job descriptions, pay structures, and compensation programs.
- Review and optimize benefits programs to balance employee satisfaction and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership on long-term workforce planning and staffing strategies.
- Oversee training, safety, and compliance programs for salaried and hourly employees.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment supporting a diverse hourly workforce.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Experience with positive employee relations and workforce development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- PHR/SPHR certification.
- Experience with workers’ compensation programs.
