Pharmacy Floor Technician

Location: Vestal, NY 13850 Schedule: Night Shift

• Weekdays: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM
• Every Other Weekend: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
• Mandatory overtime as needed
  
  

Pay Rate: $18-$20/hr

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Floor Technician plays a key role in supporting pharmacy operations by accurately picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification. This position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fill daily drug orders accurately, efficiently, and on time under pharmacist supervision
• Pull/pick medications from shelving, prepack racks, and other storage areas
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks
• Notify the pharmacist on duty when a medication or product does not scan properly
• Assist with processing returned medications and recycling/disposal per procedure
• Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store during low‑volume periods
• Manually package materials and products as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and replenish stock supplies
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work at a moderate, consistent pace
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Possess and maintain a clear and active pharmacy technician license
• Not required in New York State
