Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist (RPH) to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure prescription accuracy, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide exceptional patient care. The Staff Pharmacist will work closely with a team of three pharmacy technicians and be responsible for supporting daily pharmacy functions while adhering to Board of Pharmacy requirements.
Work Location
Schedule Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Review, verify, and sign off on prescriptions to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
Dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Supervise and support a team of three pharmacy technicians.
Respond to pharmacy-related emails and communications in a timely manner.
Maintain compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies.
Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
Review patient medication profiles and address potential concerns.
Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping of pharmacy activities.
Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
Participate in on-call pharmacy support as required.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Pharmacist (RPH) license.
Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous retail, community, or clinical pharmacy experience.
Experience supervising or working with pharmacy technicians.
Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription processing.
