Payer Analytics and Insights Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a Payer Analytics and Insights Manager to lead data-driven strategies that enhance market access, payer engagement, contract negotiations, and reimbursement processes. This role combines quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide actionable insights that influence decision-making, optimize operations, and identify growth opportunities.
You will collaborate closely with market access and reimbursement leadership to develop KPIs, improve business processes, and deliver clear recommendations that support organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and maintain up-to-date payer coverage policies and criteria.
- Perform routine and ad hoc analyses of payer performance, including prior authorization, denials, and appeals, to identify trends.
- Partner with commercial analytics teams to integrate payer perspectives into the overall commercial process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of payer contract performance and build financial models to forecast revenue and support pricing strategies.
- Monitor and report KPIs such as team productivity, reimbursement rates, and days sales outstanding (DSO) using dashboards and scorecards.
- Evaluate authorization, appeal, and claims data to uncover trends and identify opportunities for revenue optimization.
- Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable presentations for technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Background in healthcare reimbursement or medical device industry preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical and technical skills in financial modeling, data interpretation, and trend analysis.
- Solid understanding of healthcare payer contracting, reimbursement methodologies, and provider payment structures.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
