Position Summary

The Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides services to students with speech, language, communication, and related disorders in a school-based setting. Responsibilities include screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success while ensuring compliance with all applicable state, federal, and professional regulations. Timely documentation and service tracking are required to maintain quality services and compliance standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active Kansas SLP license
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Clinical Fellowship completed (strongly preferred)
  
  

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct student screenings and comprehensive evaluations per IEP guidelines and district procedures
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
• Provide therapy services addressing speech, language, cognitive, and (if applicable) swallowing concerns
• Apply evidence-based practices, including assessment, intervention, and behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and goal development
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding student progress and therapy plans
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of all services
• Complete service logs and billing documentation as required
• Support transition planning and family communication as appropriate
• Supervise assistants, CFYs, and interns in accordance with state regulations
• Maintain a safe, organized, and effective therapy environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned
