Position Overview
A Locum Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) is needed to provide coverage across outpatient Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care clinics in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. This role supports planned time‑off and staffing needs and requires flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations.
The provider will manage both scheduled and walk‑in patients, focusing on occupational injuries, work‑related exams, and general urgent care needs while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and patient experience.

Position Overview

The provider will manage both scheduled and walk‑in patients, focusing on occupational injuries, work‑related exams, and general urgent care needs while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and patient experience.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (based on clinic needs)
- Coverage provided as needed depending on location and demand
- Floating between Albuquerque and Santa Fe clinics required
- Diagnose and treat work‑related injuries — Manage acute occupational injuries and illnesses
- Evaluate urgent care patients — Provide care for walk‑in, non‑emergent conditions
- Perform physical examinations including:
- Pre‑placement exams
- DOT physicals (active certification required)
- Public safety and surveillance exams
- Conduct in‑office procedures within scope of practice
- Communicate with employers regarding patient status and return‑to‑work recommendations
- Provide medical guidance and work restrictions as appropriate
- Complete timely clinical documentation in accordance with clinic standards
Required
- Active DOT Certification prior to start
- Ability to practice autonomously
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (Physicians)
- NP/PA certification from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted state license
- Active, unrestricted DEA license
- Minimum 1 year of office‑based procedural experience
- Occupational Medicine experience (1 year)
- Urgent Care experience (1 year)
- 2‑Step TB Test
- Background check
- 9‑panel drug screen
- Current CV / résumé
- Medical malpractice history
- Minimum 5‑year work history
- Completion of credentialing and onboarding documentation
- Consistent weekday schedule
- Mix of Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care cases
