Maintenance Planner
Location: Selma, AL
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire (FTE)

Compensation
- Base Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
- Overtime: Eligible (including some weekends)
Work Schedule
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
- Occasional weekend overtime required
Job Summary
The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in supporting reliable plant operations by planning, prioritizing, and coordinating maintenance activities. This position is responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance planning, CMMS administration, KPI tracking, and ensuring materials, tools, and resources are available to execute maintenance work efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Review maintenance requests and define the scope of work.
- Develop detailed job plans, including labor, materials, tools, and estimated time.
- Prioritize work orders based on safety, urgency, and production impact.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with operations to align with planned downtime.
- Ensure required parts, tools, and equipment are available prior to job execution.
- Create, manage, and update work orders within the CMMS.
- Track supplier shipments, documentation, and inventory transactions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Analyze daily maintenance KPIs (e.g., downtime, equipment availability) and develop action plans.
- Generate MVP work orders based on identified maintenance needs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S standards across work areas.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with maintenance planning and scheduling software.
- Experience administering CMMS work order systems (MVP preferred).
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance KPIs.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations and standards.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related technical field preferred.
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance operations.
- Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory coordination.
Preferred / Bonus Experience
- Experience in foam or polyurethane manufacturing environments.
