We’re looking for an experienced Tech Lead / Modernization Lead to play a pivotal role in a major modernization initiative within a highly regulated legal and financial environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on architecting transformation strategies, shaping technical direction, and guiding organizations through complex modernization journeys.
What You’ll Do
- Lead modernization efforts across a suite of legacy applications.
- Assess the current ASP.NET 4.2 environment and define a modernization roadmap toward modern .NET Core or a potential future migration to AWS.
- Create high‑quality technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and modernization plans.
- Uphold ITW’s standards for accuracy, quality, and long‑term maintainability.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to ensure smooth delivery of modernization initiatives.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance (without direct people‑management responsibilities).
Required Qualifications
- 9 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or modernization-focused roles.
- Strong expertise in .NET technologies, including legacy ASP.NET and modern .NET Core.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud migration strategies—especially AWS (hands‑on not required).
- Prior experience modernizing legacy enterprise systems.
- Ability to assess system viability and recommend long‑term modernization paths.
Salary : $65 - $70
