Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced (Numerical Control Programmer 5) to join a Production Engineering team supporting advanced manufacturing operations in Washington State. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about automation, robotics, process optimization, and manufacturing excellence.

The successful candidate will work directly within a production environment to develop, implement, and improve robotic and automated manufacturing solutions. This position requires strong technical expertise in robotics programming, CNC machining, CAD/CAM applications, and factory automation systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain numerical control (NC) programs and robotic automation solutions for manufacturing applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and production teams to define technical requirements and improve manufacturing processes.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic systems, including ABB, KUKA, and Fanuc platforms.
• Support implementation of new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and process improvements.
• Analyze and resolve production issues related to machining, automation, and robotic systems.
• Create and validate machining strategies for high-speed production environments.
• Train and mentor manufacturing personnel on automation and robotic technologies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, productivity, and cost reduction.

Required Qualifications

• 9 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, robotics, automation, or a related field.
• Experience with high-speed machining in a production environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with robotics programming and manufacturing automation systems.
• Strong understanding of numerical control programming and manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ABB RobotStudio, ABB, KUKA, or Fanuc robotic systems.
• CAD/CAM experience using tools such as CATIA, MasterCAM, Vericut, CENIT, or similar software.
• Shop-floor machining and robotics programming experience.
• Training or certification in robotics, automation, or manufacturing technologies.
• Experience working in high-volume production environments.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and digital manufacturing tools.

Position Details

Location: Everett, WA (also open to Auburn, WA or Renton, WA)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Possible Extension)

Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $70 - $84/hr

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
