Pay Rate: $50.00/hr on W2

About the Role

As a Buyer III, you will play a critical role in supporting the procurement and supplier management functions for spaceflight systems. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials that meet technical and budgetary requirements. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in supply chain management and procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier and internal team coordination to support external development of spaceflight systems.
• Prioritize and execute program requirements to align with Blue Origin’s strategic goals.
• Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, conduct price analysis, and develop negotiation strategies.
• Manage various contract types including FFP, T&M, CPFF, and CPIF.
• Oversee the full procurement lifecycle from requisition to invoice payment.
• Negotiate and manage strategic agreements such as Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).
• Support procurement strategy and contribute to achieving corporate objectives.
• Ensure timely delivery of production materials within budget and technical specifications.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (or 3 years with a Master’s degree).
• Strong knowledge of procurement and supplier management practices.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Experience with AS9100 standards and engineering data (specs, source control drawings).
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Space or Aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with Avionics or Fluids components.
• Knowledge of ITAR/EAR import/export regulations.
• CPSM or CSCP certification.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, and SharePoint.
