We're Hiring: Buyer II / Buyer III

Location: Kent, WA 98032

Duration: 6 Month Contract (Extension and potential conversion to a permanent role based on performance)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Standard Business Hours

Are you an experienced procurement professional with strong supplier management and purchase order follow-up experience? We are seeking a Buyer II / Buyer III to support procurement operations by driving supplier accountability, improving on-time delivery performance, and managing critical purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Drive resolution of overdue purchase orders through supplier follow-up, escalation, and root cause analysis

✅ Improve supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance and implement corrective actions for underperforming suppliers

✅ Ensure timely PO acknowledgements including verification of pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and terms

✅ Monitor and report procurement metrics including:

• Overdue POs
• OTD performance
• PO acknowledgement rates
• Cycle times
• Cost savings initiatives

✅ Manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition through invoice payment

✅ Conduct supplier sourcing, evaluations, negotiations, and price analysis

✅ Maintain supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procurement standards

✅ Identify cost reduction opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives

Required Qualifications:

✔ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field

✔ 4-5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain services experience

✔ Strong experience with supplier management, sourcing, and procurement operations

✔ Experience tracking supplier performance metrics and driving improvements

✔ Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

✔ Experience with price analysis and cost management

✔ Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

✔ Knowledge of FAR/DFAR compliance and government procurement regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

⭐ Aerospace, manufacturing, or other technical industry experience

⭐ Government contracting experience
