Auditor III (Contract)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Auditor III to support an established Audit Services Team within a large, publicly traded organization in the energy and utilities sector. This position is a long-term contract role supporting internal audit operations and working closely with audit leadership and senior audit professionals.

Engagement Details
- Contract Length: 2-year contract
- Interview Process: One interview round with the hiring manager and an additional supervisor
- Work Schedule: Onsite 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday)
- Standard working hours: approximately 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (PST)
- Work Location: Downtown San Diego office
- Equipment: All required equipment will be provided by the client
Team Structure
This role is part of a delivery-based audit team and will work alongside:
- 1 Manager
- 2–3 Senior or Lead Auditor associates
- Total team size: approximately 4–5 professionals
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal audit activities across various business functions
- Collaborate with audit leadership and peers to execute audit plans
- Assist with audit testing, documentation, and reporting
- Communicate audit findings clearly and professionally
- Contribute to team deliverables while meeting established timelines
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, ethics, and confidentiality
Required Qualifications
- Proven audit or accounting experience, preferably within:
- A Big 4 accounting firm
- A Fortune 500 organization
- A publicly traded company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-directed, and dependable
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, team-based environment
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (education may be substituted with relevant industry experience)
- Preferred certifications (not required):
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
- Fraud Investigation–related certifications
Salary : $65 - $70
