JTL Construction is hiring an Estimator and Pre-Construction Services Manager who can break down a project before a shovel hits the ground. If you know how to turn plans into budget wins, shape strategy, and lead without micromanaging, you belong here.

What You’ll Handle
- Lead the estimating and pre-construction process from pursuit through turnover, including budgets, buyout strategies, scope clarity, and proposals.
- Break down plans, specs, and real-world conditions into clean, confident numbers.
- Collaborate with business development, ownership, and operations to shape winning bids.
- Facilitate reviews, design coordination, schedule analysis, and value engineering.
- Build strong relationships with subs and suppliers to keep pricing tight.
- Develop procurement timelines, project milestones, and early deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate risks early before they become field problems.
- Represent JTL in client-facing meetings and presentations with confidence and professionalism.
- Mentor junior estimators and support their development.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years estimating commercial renovation and/or pre-construction management (industrial/mechanical experience preferred).
- Proven experience with conceptual budgets, detailed takeoffs, negotiated work, and bid strategy.
- Knowledge of subcontractors, scopes, sequencing, and the Cleveland market.
- Strong in all forms of written, verbal, and in the room communication.
- Able to manage multiple pursuits and bids without dropping the ball.
- Experience with self-performed trades is a big plus.
