Job Summary
The position of Intake Specialist is responsible for coordinating intake services, which includes gathering demographic information, providing support and resources depending on appropriateness, and scheduling assessment appointments. A critical element of Josselyn’s mission is to ensure that we create a reverberating positive impact on clients, and this includes both clinical and non-clinical staff.
Schedule
Monday-Friday 9 AM - 5 PM
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Respond to 20–25 daily inquiries, including live calls, emails, voicemails, and intake requests,
ensuring timely and courteous communication.
- Schedule IM CANS initial assessment appointments within 72 hours of intake completion,
considering both client preferences and provider availability
- Collect and verify demographic and insurance information from new clients to facilitate efficient
service initiation.
- Provide prompt and effective support to in-person walk-in clients, ensuring a positive client
experience.
- Process hospital referrals and follow established intake procedures.
- Distribute intake and onboarding paperwork to new clients as part of the enrollment process.
- Provide respectful, welcoming, and professional interaction with all clients and visitors.
- Gather essential information from new clients to initiate services efficiently.
- Support additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- BS in Psychology, Counseling, or other related subjects
- 1 year of previous health care experience
