Part-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Clinical Supervisor
The Joslyn Center – Palm Desert, CA
Position Type: Part-Time (10 hours per week)
Schedule: 2 days per week (approximately 5 hours/day)
Compensation: $50–$60 per hour (DOE)

Our nationally recognized Wellness Center provides counseling, education, support groups, and wellness programs that promote emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve as our Clinical Supervisor. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced clinician who enjoys mentoring developing professionals while making a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults.
Position Summary
The LCSW Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision, guidance, and professional development to counselors and associates working toward California licensure. The supervisor ensures quality clinical services, ethical practice, and compliance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements while supporting a collaborative and client-centered Wellness Center.
This position also serves as a clinical resource for staff and helps strengthen the quality of behavioral health services provided to older adults.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group clinical supervision to Associate Clinical Social Workers (ACSWs), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFTs), and other supervised clinicians pursuing licensure.
- Review clinical documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and best practices.
- Guide clinicians in case conceptualization, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and ethical decision-making.
- Ensure supervision meets California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements.
- Support staff professional growth through mentoring, coaching, and continuing education.
- Consult with Wellness Center leadership regarding clinical policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing evidence-based behavioral health practices and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and applicable state regulations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case consultation as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Current California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing.
- Qualified to provide clinical supervision under California Board of Behavioral Sciences regulations.
- Minimum of five (5) years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Experience supervising or mentoring associate clinicians preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, ethics, and California BBS requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with older adults and aging-related behavioral health concerns.
- Experience in nonprofit, community mental health, healthcare, or wellness settings.
- Knowledge of grief, caregiver support, depression, anxiety, trauma-informed care, and adjustment issues affecting older adults.
