E&S New Business Commercial Insurance Underwriter – Remote

Job Summary

An established insurance MGA is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriter to support new business production. This role focuses on evaluating and underwriting E&S risks while maintaining strong relationships with agency partners. The position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative underwriting environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, prioritize, and select new business submissions for underwriting
• Identify risk exposures, hazards, and appropriate mitigation strategies
• Review claims history and assess loss trends
• Analyze risk data to support underwriting decisions and pricing
• Apply underwriting guidelines and maintain discipline to manage exposure
• Collaborate with agency partners to support new business growth
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Prior experience in Commercial Lines underwriting, with a focus on new business
• Ability to evaluate risk and make sound underwriting decisions
• Familiarity with E&S markets preferred
• Established relationships with agency partners preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license or ability to obtain
  
  

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
• Bonus: Semi-annual performance-based bonus
