Senior Business Analyst – Tech Assets   

Location: New York, NY  10041

Duration: 12-month contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM TO 5 PM  

Work Environment: Hybrid on-site with IT Project Management Office; collaboration with business units, developers, subject matter experts, and PMO leaders. (3 days in-office (Wednesday required) and 2 days remote) 

Our client is an organization responsible for delivering large-scale workflow and asset management technology solutions that support operational teams across a central metropolitan area and is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to support its technology initiatives. The selected professional will play a key role in translating business needs into actionable technical requirements and supporting the rollout of modern, user-centered applications. 

The Senior Business Analyst – Tech Assets is responsible for:  

• Identifying functional and non-functional requirements using analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition. 

• Preparing, reviewing, and updating requirements, specifications, business processes, and solution recommendations using standard templates. 

• Working closely with business units and SMEs to define, test, and implement functional requirements. 

• Conducting interviews, workshops, surveys, and reviewing system documentation to gather requirements. 

• Creating and maintaining analysis artifacts, including process maps, BRDs, business rules, user stories, workflows, use cases, UI designs, and test cases. 

• Collaborating with developers and SMEs to align technical vision with business needs and evaluate usability vs. performance tradeoffs. 

Qualifications:  

Mandatory Qualifications:  

• BA/BS degree or equivalent in a technology-related field. 

• 5 years of experience specifying, analyzing, and documenting requirements for mission-critical business applications (web/client-server). 

• 5 years of experience developing test plans and performing UAT and functional testing. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• 5 years of experience with SQL, Excel, SSIS, and SSRS. 

• Experience with Waterfall, RUP, and Agile SDLC methodologies. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 

• Experience facilitating consensus-building across stakeholders. 

Compensation and Benefits:  

• Salary range: $55 per hr (1099) 
• Benefits: 401K
