Payroll Specialist

Dynamic established and growing service organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist to join their growing service-based company located in Western Suffolk County.  This position is ideal for a motivated professional with strong payroll and accounts payable experience who is looking for long-term growth opportunities within a stable and expanding organization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using ISolve payroll software and QuickBooks, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll accurately using ISolve payroll software
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Experience with prevailing wage jobs
• Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable functions utilizing QuickBooks
• Reconcile invoices, vendor statements, and expense reports
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
• Will interact with payroll admins from multiple offices to review and reconcile payroll

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of payroll and Accounts Payable experience
• Experience with ISolve payroll software is a plus
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, specifically Accounts Payable functions
• Strong understanding of payroll procedures and accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
