Job Description
The Jockey Club Information Systems Inc. (TJCIS) is a unique and diversified organization that provides instant access to information and expertise to aid decision-making and improve Thoroughbred management and promotion. TJCIS Data Management coordinates and manages all functions associated with international data in order to maintain a reliable database on Thoroughbred racing and breeding around the world. We currently have an opening for a part-time Quality Control Coordinator.
Summary:
The Quality Control Coordinator manages international Thoroughbred racing and breeding data. This includes all aspects of receipt, processing, proofing, updating, and researching information to ensure all foreign data is current, accurate, and complete.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter and quality control foreign racing and pedigree data from multiple sources, resolving operational problems and enhancing data in a timely manner to ensure deadlines and standards are met.
- Proofread past performance pages for Thoroughbred horses for tasks including international race projects, foreign simulcasts, and horses importing to the United States.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Above average PC and keyboard skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to plan and prioritize multiple data management tasks in order to meet established deadlines and quality standards.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers and management regarding the status of various tasks or need for assistance.
- Availability for a hybrid work schedule, balanced between time spent in the office and remote, during regular business hours M-F, as well as occasional nights, weekends, or holidays, as international data schedules require.
- Interest in Thoroughbred pedigrees and knowledge of Thoroughbred industry beneficial.
- Attention to detail and accuracy required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
