The Job Shop is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for our Russell Springs, KY for a company. The basic function of the Project Manager is the efficient and effective management of assigned projects with accurate and timely documentation. Projects are completed and conform to the plans and specifications, quality work completed for the client according to budget estimations for time, material, labor and profit.
The principal responsibilities of the Project Manager consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure that the project operations comply with federal/state/local laws and statutory requirements.
- Create and promote the company image through exercising courteous business practices as related to subs, employees, clients and outside agencies.
- Manage projects and complete all paperwork (i.e. progress reports, meeting minutes, etc. as specified.
- Coordinate scheduling of projects with other Project Managers, the Field Superintendent and VP-Operations.
- Coordinate scheduling of projects with subs, ensuring subs adhere to contract specs.
- Technical assistance to Project Coordinators to ensure documentation/ reports are accurate and timely.
- Provide data for billing, change orders and customer invoicing in a timely manner.
- Ensure that proper information related to all construction costs (time sheets, purchase orders and cost-to-date reports) are allocated to proper jobs and proper account categories.
- Quality assurance through the review of estimates, specifications, schedules and project documentation. On-site review of all projects on a routine basis. Conduct job site progress meetings as required. (Minimum of 1 per month). Ensure that all approved policies, procedures and safety rules are adhered to by all employees on assigned projects.
Experience:
- Commercial/industrial construction experience 5 yrs (required)
- Project management: 5 yrs (preferred)
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a construction project manager to include excellent communication and organization, time management and negotiation skills.
