Currently looking for Leads in the following Departments:
Warehouse
3rd Shift 10:30 pm - 6:30 am
Powder Department
1st shift 5:30 am-2:00 pm,
2nd shift 1:30 am-10:00 pm
3rd shift 9:30 pm-6:00 am
Receiving
3rd Shift 9:00 pm-7:00 am
BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
To assist the supervisor by acting as a pipeline between the supervisor and employees, maintaining safety and quality standards, and filling in as a relief worker.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Must follow Jel Sert safety procedures, GMP requirements, and work instructions
- Direct the workforce and ensure product quality and work standards are being fulfilled.
- Supply workers with necessary materials and ensure correct materials are present.
- Training of existing staff and new employees.
- Ensure employees are in position on time after breaks and lunch, and at start-up.
- Relieve staff as necessary.
- Identify safety and quality issues.
- Perform other work as required.
FOOD SAFETY/QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow applicable work procedures and instructions; monitoring of critical control points (CCPs) and quality control points (QCP's). If applicable, monitor quality critical control points (QCCPs).
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Good motor skills and hand-eye coordination, effective communication with all levels of personnel, basic math skills, identify quality problems. Proficient in all department positions, communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, leadership skills. Previous experience within the department preferred, but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Manufacturing/Distribution and fast-paced environment, a full range of motion is required (reaching and lifting), lifting up to 50lbs. alone, standing for the duration of a shift (8 or more hours), continuous work, possible exposure to various odors and powder dust, working independently.Mandatory overtime during the week and/or weekend required as necessary.
