Client Intake & Conversion Specialist

The Jaklitsch Law Group
Upper Marlboro, MD Full Time
POSTED ON 8/20/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/17/2026

We can teach personal injury law. We cannot teach hunger, empathy, persuasion, discipline, or the ability to earn someone’s trust.

The Jaklitsch Law Group is hiring an exceptional Client Intake & Conversion Specialist to turn qualified potential clients into signed clients.

This is not a receptionist position.

You will be the first meaningful contact for injured people who may be overwhelmed, uncertain, and speaking with several law firms. Your job is to make them feel heard, clearly communicate how we can help and how we are different, and confidently guide qualified potential clients toward hiring our firm.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Warm and empathetic.
  • Competitive and results-driven.
  • Confident asking for someone’s business.
  • Persistent without being pushy.
  • Highly organized and disciplined about follow-up.
  • Comfortable being measured, coached, and held accountable.

The right person knows how to take control of a conversation without making it feel like a sales call. You listen carefully, identify what matters, address hesitation, communicate value, and help people make confident decisions.

We are not looking for someone who merely answers calls, takes messages, and waits for prospects to call back.

We are looking for a closer.

About the Jaklitsch Law Group:

The Jaklitsch Law Group is a nationally recognized personal injury law firm located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

We help people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. The way they are treated during their first conversation with our firm matters.

Our firm is close-knit, client-centered, demanding, competitive, and fast-moving. We invest heavily in generating opportunities to help injured people, and we treat every legitimate lead with urgency.

We believe high performers should receive recognition, advancement, increased responsibility, and meaningful financial rewards.

What You Will Do:

You will own qualified leads from first contact through retention.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding immediately to new calls, texts, emails, website submissions, and referrals.
  • Creating an exceptional first impression of the firm.
  • Conducting detailed and empathetic intake conversations.
  • Asking focused questions about accidents, injuries, treatment, insurance, damages, and other relevant facts.
  • Identifying what the potential client needs and why they are seeking help.
  • Clearly explaining the firm’s services, process, experience, and value.
  • Building trust and confidently asking qualified potential clients to hire the firm.
  • Addressing hesitation, competing consultations, and common objections.
  • Following up persistently by telephone, text message, and email.
  • Preparing and sending representation agreements.
  • Helping potential clients complete the signing process.
  • Gathering documents, photographs, reports, insurance information, and other evidence.
  • Entering complete and accurate information into the firm’s intake and case-management systems.
  • Coordinating attorney review when necessary.
  • Ensuring no qualified lead is forgotten or allowed to become stale.
  • Reviewing recorded calls and performance data.
  • Participating in sales coaching, role-playing, and objection-handling exercises.
  • Helping newly retained clients transition smoothly into the firm.
  • Providing defined rotating evening or weekend coverage when needed.

You Will Thrive Here If You:

  • Love competing and achieving measurable goals.
  • Build trust quickly with different personalities.
  • Communicate confidently without sounding scripted.
  • Know how to ask directly for someone’s business.
  • Follow up until you receive a clear answer.
  • Stay composed when people are emotional, frustrated, or skeptical.
  • Take personal responsibility for your results.
  • Welcome direct coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Learn quickly and retain new information.
  • Manage multiple conversations and deadlines without losing details.
  • Want your performance to directly affect your compensation and advancement.

Strong Candidates May Come From:

  • Inside sales.
  • Insurance sales.
  • Automotive sales or dealership internet departments.
  • College admissions or enrollment.
  • Medical, dental, or cosmetic treatment coordination.
  • Hospitality or luxury client service.
  • Home-services sales.
  • High-performing call centers.

Prior legal experience is not required.

A proven ability to connect, persuade, close, and follow up is more important.

How Performance Will Be Measured:

This is a results-oriented role with clear expectations.

Performance may be evaluated through:

  • Speed to first contact.
  • Percentage of leads successfully contacted.
  • Qualified-lead conversion rate.
  • Follow-up completion.
  • Representation agreements completed.
  • Accuracy and completeness of intake information.
  • Communication and recorded-call quality.
  • Proper case qualification.
  • Compliance with firm procedures.
  • Potential-client and new-client experience.

We want strong conversion, but we do not want someone who signs inappropriate cases merely to improve a number.

Bonuses will be based on overall job performance and applicable firm or department performance criteria.

This Position Is Not for You If You:

  • Want a receptionist or purely administrative role.
  • Are uncomfortable with sales or measurable expectations.
  • Avoid asking directly for someone’s business.
  • Give up after one unanswered call or text.
  • Believe leaving a voicemail counts as completing your follow-up.
  • Wait for potential clients to convince themselves.
  • Become discouraged by rejection.
  • Resist coaching or recorded-call review.
  • Make excuses for poor results.
  • Need repeated reminders.
  • Move slowly when a potential client is waiting.
  • Prefer a low-pressure environment without accountability.

Our standards are high because injured people are depending on us and because every legitimate lead matters.

People who consistently meet those standards will be rewarded.
