Your Opportunity as the Senior Lab Technician, Product Development Team in Coffee Research & Development
Location: Orrville, OH
Work Arrangements: 50% onsite or more depending on business need
In this role you will:
Brewing coffee samples and submitting for product analysis and cupping
Performing general lab maintenance, utilizing brewing appliances, recording data, labeling, and tracking samples
Order and maintain inventory of all ingredients (green coffee, flavors, etc.) for the team; manage POs as necessary
Support Product Development Team in all product development initiatives by preparing experimental formulations at direction of project technical leads
Follow proper procedures for good laboratory practices (ensuring security, safety, GMP and quality)
Lead Benchtop lab runs and assures proper testing methods are taking place in the lab and/or Pilot Research Lab (PRL)
Perform standard operating procedures and test methods relevant to the job
Document, summarize, and report data from all product cuppings and studies; make special note of unexpected results or observations
Identify ways to improve methods and new ways to accomplish tasks
Assist with customer visit/event logistics as needed
Be an area owner, HSE Key Element, or Quality representative
Represent Product Development on the Coffee PRL calls and coordinate Product Development needs with the PRL team; submit test requests, coordinate pre-test reviews, monitor progress of test, and lead inventory management of materials from test

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
3 years experience in a laboratory environment
Familiarity of GLP/GMP conditions
High School Diploma (Associate's degree preferred)
Strong attention to detail and capacity to learn data entry for multiple systems & scenarios
Demonstrated capability in analyzing data/situations & problem solving
Basic understanding of MS Office and familiarity with navigating Excel spreadsheets
Able to work independently and on a team
