Substitute teachers play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning and supporting student success. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction to small classes, typically comprising up to 18 students.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active learning and respect among students.
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Adapt to various grade levels and subjects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a broad understanding of elementary education.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support the school's mission and community values.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their holistic development.
- Strong understanding of social-emotional learning principles.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
