Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front-of-house area, including bussing tables and managing food handling protocols
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep or food safety procedures as required in a quick-service setting
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; training will be provided if needed
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in a quick service or fast food restaurant is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
Shift includes Monday-Friday from 10:30am-2:30pm. Must have strong teamwork skills and be proactive. The position includes taking orders using a POS system, making drinks/ice cream, serving out prepared orders, minor food prep, and cleaning. Pay is $15/hour plus a percentage of the tips.
