The Opportunity

We're looking for a Sonny's BBQ Cook who is passionate about great food and thrives in a team environment. You'll play an essential role in creating memorable guest experiences by preparing delicious, high-quality meals, following proven recipes and food safety standards, and working together with your teammates to keep the kitchen running smoothly. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and take pride in serving food that brings people together, we'd love to have you on our team.

What You'll Do (include, but not limited to)

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
• Measure, cut, and portion ingredients accurately
• Maintain proper food storage and prevent spoilage
• Monitor food and storage temperatures for safety compliance
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with dishwashing and proper storage of kitchen items
• Work collaboratively to support a smooth kitchen operation

What We're Looking For

• Ability to listen and follow directions
• Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team, while maintaining a high level of accountability
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lead and direct while cultivating a healthy and collaborative team environment
• Stand for prolonged periods of time and handle products, tools, paperwork, and equipment.
• May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment and requested to work with cleaning chemicals.
• May inhale smoke from a wood burning cooker
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with a team.
