A day in the life…
Wondering what a day in the life of a Payment Poster at The Iowa Clinic might look like?
- Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
- Oversees, processes, and directs day-to-day work performance related to payment posting, banking, lock box, mail, refunds, and reconciliations.
- Pro-actively works with the CBO Payment Supervisors in identifying and resolving issues to assure high quality, efficient, cost-effective services consistent with the needs to the organization.
- Maintains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations affecting area of responsibility and makes recommendations for changes to ensure compliance. Actively pursues inconsistencies and/or inaccuracies in coding and/or billing and appropriately brings to the attention of the CBO Payment Supervisor.
- Promotes a positive, professional image and represents The Iowa Clinic and Physician Management Resources both internally and externally. Promotes positive interpersonal relations and serves as a role model with all personnel.
Qualifications
- A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career in a fast-paced environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency of keyboarding and 10-k in addition to Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook.
