Role Description This full-time, on-site Mammography Technologist role is located in Urbandale, IA. The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammographic and related diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating mammography equipment, ensuring appropriate imaging techniques, and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation. The role involves monitoring equipment performance, adhering to radiation safety and infection control guidelines, and assisting radiologists and other clinicians with imaging needs. The technologist will also provide clear communication and compassionate support to patients, participate in quality assurance activities, and contribute to a safe, efficient clinical environment.

Qualifications
- Current certification or eligibility for certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology, with mammography credentials preferred or the ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe.
- Strong foundation in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, including knowledge of imaging protocols, positioning, and equipment operation specific to mammography.
- Demonstrated understanding of Radiation Safety principles and best practices to protect patients, self, and team members.
- Basic knowledge of Medicine as it relates to breast imaging, breast anatomy and physiology, and common breast pathologies.
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program; associate degree or higher in radiologic sciences or related field preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within a specified period.
- Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support individuals who may be anxious or in discomfort.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow protocols, and proficiency with electronic health records and imaging systems (PACS/RIS).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, fast-paced clinical environment and to meet scheduled timelines and workflow demands.
