About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join our U.S. headquarters and serve as a strategic financial partner to the VP of Finance & Accounting. This individual will lead our accounting function, support corporate financial reporting across multiple entities, and play a key role in driving financial strategy, process improvement, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Accounting team, fostering development and performance
- Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide financial policies and internal controls
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and publish timely financial statements
- Prepare consolidated financials for multiple entities and report on variances to budget and forecasts
- Coordinate and direct the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting
- Manage external audits, mid-year reviews, and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes through automation and best practices
- Partner with senior management to support strategic initiatives and decision-making
- Document and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance
- Take ownership of regulatory and management reporting
Qualifications
Required:
- 10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong financial reporting, cost accounting, and consolidation (multi-entity) experience
- Experience leading and mentoring a finance/accounting team
- Strong technical accounting foundation and knowledge of GAAP
- Background in developing and enforcing internal policies and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills; SAP R/3 experience preferred
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
Preferred:
- CPA designation (highly preferred but not required)
- MBA or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance
- Background in manufacturing, construction, or cost-accounting-intensive industries
- Experience with automation or system improvement initiatives
- Prior controllership or top accounting leadership experience
- Strong audit coordination and regulatory compliance background

Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
