Preschool Program Support Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a positive, energetic, and creative individual to join our talented staff. Our preferred candidate would need to have strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills and be eager to start immediately on a path of shared learning. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, smiling, and easy-going personality while also being very perceptive, responsible, and disciplined. A customer-oriented approach is essential. Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor all classrooms/facility (adhere to proper state codes)
• Assisting Director with planning, managing, and day to day operations
• Maintain center paperwork: staff files updated to DCF standards
• Knowledge of ELC School Readiness and VPK billing procedures
• Familiar with USDA Food Program procedures
• Assisting in carry out policies and programs
• Supervise teachers – providing training and mentoring
• Tour the facility when needed it
• Interviewing potential new staff
• Provide new hiring training
• Monitoring staff to ensure they are accurately performing
• Monitors daily license ratios
• Background in customer service and bookkeeping

Required Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience is required.
• Early childhood classroom teaching experience.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Must be a team player, able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced environment.
• Have a love for children and a strong desire to make a difference.

Required Education/Certifications:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• AA Degree or Higher in Early Childhood Education or related field (Preferred)
• DCF 45 Hours (Required)
• FCCPC or CDA Certificate (Perferred)
• Director Credential (Perferred)
• Staff Credential (Preferred)
• CPR First Aid Certification (Perferred)
