What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician Apprentice (Paid Training to RBT Certification) | Bronx, NY 10461 position at The Inspired Community Project, Inc.?
Launch your career in behavioral health — and get paid to learn.
Join New York State’s First-Ever Behavioral Health Apprenticeship Program
At The Inspired Community Project (TICP), we believe careers in behavioral health should be accessible, supported, and life-changing — not gatekept.
That’s why we proudly created New York State’s first-ever Behavioral Health Apprenticeship Program: a one-of-a-kind opportunity for passionate, motivated individuals to receive paid, hands-on training while working toward certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
If you’re someone who loves working with children, wants meaningful work, and is ready to build a real career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), this could be the opportunity that changes everything.
Whether you’re brand new to the field or already exploring the RBT path, this program is designed to help you grow with structure, mentorship, and purpose.
Why This Role Is Different
This is not your average entry-level role.
As a Behavior Technician Apprentice, you’ll be part of our Training & Excellence (T&E) Program — an immersive, paid apprenticeship housed within TICP’s Clinical Department.

- A paid 40-hour RBT course
- 50 additional paid training hours outside the classroom
- Weekly mentorship from experienced clinicians

- Career growth opportunities after graduation
By the end of the program, you’ll have completed the training requirements needed to sit for the RBT certification exam and be fully prepared to take the next step in your behavioral health career.
And once you graduate?
You may have the opportunity to continue with TICP as a full-time salaried team member — or we’ll help support your transition into the next chapter of your career with the tools, resources, and professional connections to thrive.
