What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Hotel Maintenance Tuesday - Saturday position at The Inn at Saratoga?
Historic Hotel in downtown Saratoga is seeking a full time maintenance person to join our small, family like team of hospitality professionals.
- Responsible for the upkeep of hotel grounds and snow removal.
- Responsible for the completion of the preventative maintenance checklist and completing minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc. to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard.
- Responsible for checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/ or replacement.
- Responsible for checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters.
- Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms if needed.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Follows company policies and procedures.
- Assists with banquet set up as needed
- Communicates effectively with the front desk and housekeeping to ensure guest satisfaction
- Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, lift at least 50 lbs, read, and write.
- Must have a valid drivers' license
- We are looking for an energetic Individual who is self motivated and works well with a team.
- Must be available weekends and some holidays
- General schedule for this position is Tuesday through Thursday 9am - 5:30pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 6:30pm, Sunday and Monday off.
*** Please note, this is not a janitorial position, experience with light plumbing and electrical work, painting, sheet rock repair, and general preventative maintenance is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
