This role is essential in managing the flow of restaurant operations while ensuring guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Relations & Service
- Warmly welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Provide a positive first impression that reflects the hospitality standards of The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Estimate wait times accurately and communicate them clearly to guests
- Thank guests when they exit and welcome them to return
Reservation & Seating Management
- Manage reservations and seating charts effectively
- Coordinate table assignments to optimize restaurant flow
- Monitor table availability and communicate updates to guests
Team Communication & Support
- Communicate with servers about table availability and guest needs
- Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding walk-ins and add-ons
- Assist with running food when requested
- Support servers during busy periods as needed Operational Duties
- Perform assigned side work to maintain restaurant standards
- Clean and maintain menus in presentable condition
- Assist with general restaurant cleanliness and organization
- Any other tasks or responsibilities deemed necessary by management or ownership
